FAQ

  • What is Bike Day?

Bike Day is a community event co-hosted by the Salem/Hebron Repair Cafe and the Historic Salem Courthouse Community Center. Held on June 8th, the event offers free bike repairs by volunteers, along with some basic supplies to help restore bikes and get them rolling again. Visitors can also access bike safety information and pick up helpful safety items on site.

  • What can be repaired?

All types of bicycles and tricycles are welcomed for young or old! Our volunteers will do their best, with the resources they have, to ensure your bike/tricycle is in it’s best shape.

  • Will no-cost bikes be available?

Depending on incoming donations, there may be some bikes/tricycles available for those in need of a set of wheels! If they are claimed, our volunteers will fix them up too!

  • Who can bring in their bike for repair?

Anyone in the Salem/Hebron community is welcome to bring their bike for repair. Our local volunteers have generously donated their time and talent to make this event happen.

  • How much will it cost for repairs?

Thanks to generous community partnerships, Bike Day is a no-cost event for anyone looking to have their bikes repaired. Donations are warmly welcomed and will help ensure that this and other repair cafes can continue to serve the community again and again!
